This measure was deactivated by the RTF in December, 2024.
The last formal version of the workbook is 12.2, which is a cleaner version of what was approved by the RTF (v12.0) at the September, 2023 meeting.
At that time, the screw-in lamp and many pin-base lamp applications were deactivated because they are subject to the current federal standards for General Service Lighting which effectively remove the opportunity for savings. Measure applications for integral-LED fixtures and for certain pin-base lamps were retained at that time.
However, the savings potential from these remaining applications has become quite small due to 1) small savings from integral-LED fixtures that are already a significant share of the market and are only competing with LED lamps and 2) reduced popularity of pin-base fixtures that use the types of pin-base lamps not subject to the federal standard for General Service Lighting. Therefore, at the December, 2024 RTF meeting, the RTF approved the deactivation of the measure.
At the December 2024 meeting, the RTF CAT also presented a proposed update to the measure analysis, v13.0, in case the RTF chose not to deactivate the measure. This workbook is not RTF-approved, but is the CAT’s best-estimate of savings, costs, lifetime, and regional potential as of the end of 2024.
