This subcommittee convenes on an as-needed basis as a technical subcommittee of the RTF. The subcommittee supports the update and development of conservation measures for residential appliances, such as clothes washers, clothes dryers, refrigerators and freezers, among others
As of May 2018 the RTF maintains active, proven measures for dryers, based on regional research efforts.
