This subcommittee convenes on an as-needed basis as a technical subcommittee of the RTF. It supports the updating and development of conservation measures for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and water heating equipment in commercial buildings. This includes RTF measures for packaged terminal heat pumps (PTHP) and commercial unitary heat pump water heaters.
As of 2026, this subcommittee also includes work from the Commercial Rooftop Unit Working Group and Commercial Variable Capacity Heat Pumps subcommittee. (Material archived at those links.)
