Demand Response Technologies

View list of deactivated demand response technologies

The RTF began working on developing demand response (DR) resources for the region in 2019, with a focus on products that leverage existing knowledge and expertise in energy efficiency. For selected applications for each DR product, this work seeks to:

  • Summarize technical considerations for estimating demand impact potential
  • Provide guidance for extrapolating impacts to different applications
  • Standardize information across DR product workbooks

The products are intended to inform inputs into the Council’s and utilities’ demand response potential supply curves. Whenever possible, the RTF considers both the energy efficiency measures and the demand response product together. Demand response work continues to be an evolving area at the RTF. Please join the RTF’s Demand Response Subcommittee to stay up to date on this work (email rtfadmin@nwcouncil.org to join).

For demand response products the RTF is not currently maintaining, please see the inactive list.
