At the September 2025 RTF meeting, the RTF updated the Residential Connected Thermostat measure and set a one-year sunset date and changed the status to Under Review given the concerns around the continued validity of the savings mechanism. 

At that time, it was flagged for the region that research or pilots are needed to verify if there is a valid savings mechanism with the currently available units.  The one-year sunset date allows time for the region to demonstrate a continued interest in this measure by starting or committing to research/pilots to determine if a savings mechanism exists. 

This meeting will provide an overview of the current UES and the concerns with the measure.  This will be followed by a discussion with subcommittee members to understand who may be considering research.
