Air Source Heat Pumps Meeting Residential Gas FAF Measure Savings

This meeting is cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Thank you to everyone who arranged their schedule to be able to attend this meeting.  At this time, the CAT is not ready to discuss a proposal for a new Electric Resistance Zonal to Ductless Heat Pump measure that focuses on 1:1 installations.  The CAT is working through details still and is planning to reschedule this meeting.  A new invitation will be sent once the work is ready to present to a subcommittee.

We are convening a meeting of our regional HVAC experts to discuss residential ductless heat pumps and the creation of a new measure for the installation of a 1:1 ductless heat pump in the main living area of a home without any supplemental fuels or if it has supplemental fuels that the average electrical consumption exceeds a set amount to ensure heating savings potential.  Some of the questions we discuss will be:

1. Is a minimum HSPF2 or quality requirement necessary?

2. Do we need to consider any limitations/requirements around equipment that is pre-charged (possible DIY) vs requires a refrigerant certified technician?

3. Savings

5. Screening options
