We are trying to tie RTF savings estimates for the gas forced-air furnace measure to the real-world by using any and all pertinent data. At the recent October 16th RTF meeting, we compared the current RTF savings estimates to estimates informed by the RBSA and two gas furnace impact evaluations (link). At this subcommittee meeting, we will discuss these and other data, with the goal of coming up with a concrete solution to propose to the RTF. Ideally, the subcommittee meeting would end by recommending a savings adjustment factor and an indication of whether the RTF should consider the measure "proven" or "planning". A "planning" measure would require a research strategy, which the subcommittee should give direction for if it chooses that option.
