This measure is the installation of an inverter driven DHP in a house with existing zonal electric. The measure applications apply to single family and manufactured homes. Short duct run type indoor units are not allowed in lieu of a ductless indoor unit. The ideal measure specification would likely require installation of a DHP in the main living area of a home with no non-electric, supplemental heating sources present and a clear signal that the home is occupied year-round. Included in the measure are screened applications, in addition to an unscreened ‘any’ measure, that attempt to identify homes that rely heavily on electricity for space heating. Programs can choose to use the unscreened or screened version for their program delivery.
