This UES measure has been pulled out of the Commercial Boiler System Standard Protocol as savings for some small boiler systems may not be large enough to warrant a protocol approach.

This measure applies to boiler systems  with a single gas boiler that is smaller than 300 kBtu/h and is used for space heating with or without domestic hot water. With a regional potential of about 300,000 kBtu/h, the measure is a small saver.

v2.1 corrects an error in v2.0 in which current practice costs were computed by multiplying the difference in cost between condensing and non-condensing units by the market share of condensing units, rather than non-condensing units. This correction decreases the incremental costs by approximately 12% and changes 5 of the 144 applications to now be cost effective.
