Automated Conservation Voltage Regulation (CVR) and Voltage Optimization
The CVR and VO subcommittee is working to bring the existing standard protocols into compliance with the RTF Guidelines. In January 2015, the RTF discussed the outstanding questions related to these two protocols and defined a path forward for the subcommittee. The subcommittee will delve into questions about persistence for both protocols (including questions around how long the measure will last operationally, defining the RUL of the existing system and EUL of the new equipment, understanding how the change in voltage varies over time), the regression model for the CVR protocol, the applicability of the protocols, and clarifying the impact assumptions have on varying ΔVs.
The protocols as currently on the books can be found on the Standard Protocols page. The most recent drafts of each protocol is below:
- Proposed Standard Protocol for Automated CVR - November 1, 2011
- Proposed Standard Protocol for Automated CVR and Feeder Efficiency - May 15, 2012
